Why I Go To Work Everyday?
I know this sounds pretty corny, but to actually make a difference. To watch the journey of an employee who has so much doubt in their ability to save enough to be able to retire one day, and to see them finally succeed in that journey means a great deal to me!
How Did I Get Here?
I began my career as an accountant working for a small CPA firm on the southside of Indianapolis. By a stroke of luck, a position in our office opened up to learn how to administer retirement plans, and I jumped at the opportunity to learn something new. And as they say, the rest is history!
Why I Care About This Industry?
Starting in this field over 30 years ago, I have had a front row seat to the effects of evolving laws and rules regarding retirement plans have had on our society and workforce. Having the ability to see the success of an employee reach retirement, allows me to take pride in what I do.
Who I Really Am . . .
I am a man of many talents. While I spend my professional life working with numbers, like an artist works in oils, my personal life is much different. While I am a husband and father of 11 (four of the two legged variety and 7 of the four legged), I spend a large majority of my time creating using wood as my media. Everything from wood frames and coasters to bookshelves and dining tables. My wife would not recognize me if I didn’t come in the house covered in saw dust! In my “spare” time, I write everything from poetry to complete novels.
