Why I Go To Work Everyday?
We have such a unique opportunity to help make dreams a reality through long term planning and investing. I am passionate about connecting with plan sponsors and participants to learn about their goals and simplifying the process to make those goals a reality. I am thankful for a challenging career that allows me the opportunity to make a positive impact on future outcomes.
How Did I Get Here?
I earned a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Technological University and an MBA from South College. Right out of college, I started my professional career in the retirement industry as a Retirement Plan Specialist at a Third-Party Administration firm based out of Knoxville, TN. The next step in my career was a move to OneAmerica Retirement Services where I began working as a Retirement Plan Consultant, then moved to a sales role. Early on in my career, I fell in love with the art of retirement planning. I have extensive experience working with plan sponsors, participants, services providers, and other retirement industry professionals. My past work experience gives me a unique and wholistic perspective.
Why I Care About This Industry?
Finances can be stressful and long-term planning can be intimidating. I work to educate plan sponsors and participants on the unique opportunity’s retirement planning can present. I do not believe young people have enough exposure or education on the importance of long-term savings. Starting small and staying consistent are key. My goal is to make such a complicated topic approachable, simple to understand, and easy to execute.
Who I Really Am . . .
I am originally from Livingston, Tennessee. I moved to Indianapolis in 2016 with my husband Jake, who also works in the retirement industry, and our two dogs Chevy and Moose. Our family has fallen in love with Indianapolis. We reside on the southside, where we are currently updating a historic home. Personally, I enjoy trying new cake recipes and hosting dinner parties. Spending time laughing with friends and family is where I feel most at home. Traveling is my favorite past time. I enjoy seeing new places, eating new things, and meeting new people. I am a thrill seeker who is always up for a new adventure!
