Why I Go To Work Everyday?
I love the team and culture of CSi Advisory Services; there is such a strong sense of camaraderie. Day-to-day tasks keep me on my toes and keep me excited to come to work every day. Working with clients, assisting with paperwork, answering questions, or helping any other way that is needed, never gets old.
How Did I Get Here?
I was a late comer to the financial industry. I spent 15 years at a wholesale bank working up through different departments including: treasury, finance, marketing & research, and communications. Following the banking industry, I joined a national accounting firm, working mainly with their public service and finance sectors. I was there 5 years before hearing about what would amount to be my dream job, and hopefully my last stop through the financial industry, here at Compensation Systems, Inc. I joined the team in 2012.
Why I Care About This Industry?
Several years back, I attended a seminar, and while the rest wasn’t memorable, there was one “Golden Nugget” that has stuck with me for life: Your life’s mantra should be where you want to end. In other words, the waitress working her way through college shouldn’t say to herself, “I’m a waitress getting my college degree to become a financial advisor.” Rather, she should say, “I am a financial advisor.”
Who I Really Am . . .
I am a wife of over 35 years to Alan. I am the mother of two grown daughters who are pursuing their life goals. I love spending time with family, playing games; everything from board games and card games to Rock Band. I am a self-avowed bookworm, enjoy doing counted cross-stitch, and playing the piano. My favorite place to be is in the Keweenaw Peninsula in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
